The Pentathlon Challenge
The nobles below have combined to form a team for the Politarchopolis Pentathlon, known as The Three Amigos. Our draw of random medieval ingredients was: grape, wheat, barley, bone and urine. Our brief for the year is to embrace the early 14th Century, an era that is unfamiliar to all the competitors in the team. This was chosen specifically so that we were all on an equal footing in terms of research and familiarity, and also because it was an excellent opportunity to learn something new. As such we have taken as our inspiration the Luttrell Psalter, a fabulously illustrated text from between 1320-1340 in England. Resources on the Luttrell Psalter, and a brief introduction to the team are below.
